Damian was CEO of UBS in Mexico from 2011 to 2018, where he previously served as head of Equities and Research for Latin America since 1998. Early in his career, Damian was a journalist at The Economist and the Financial Times (as head of the Mexico office).
He holds a CFA and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from Oxford University. He has written several articles and essays on FinTechs, SOFIPOs, regulated banks, and their opportunities and challenges in Mexico.
Korina is a strategic communications, reputation, and public relations advisor with more than 20 years of experience helping national and multinational organizations strengthen their reputation through media relations, executive positioning, crisis communications, and corporate storytelling. Throughout her career, she has advised companies across the legal, technology, energy, financial services, infrastructure, healthcare, retail, mobility, consumer, and entertainment sectors.
Her experience includes developing communication strategies and media engagement initiatives for organizations such as EY, Walmart, Iberdrola, Siemens, McKinsey & Company, Hogan Lovells, GBM, Edenred, Farmacias del Ahorro, Doppelmayr, Element Fleet Management, Roadis, Fundary, Unilever, Jose Cuervo, and Grupo Diniz—where she led corporate communications, public relations, and CSR strategy for the group’s entertainment brands. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences from Universidad Cuauhtémoc and pursued additional academic studies at Universidad Anáhuac México Norte; her background in journalism, combined with agency consulting and in-house corporate communications experience, enables her to craft compelling narratives and build trusted relationships with media and key stakeholders.
Paulo Carreño was the last CEO of ProMéxico, the Mexican agency responsible for strengthening the country’s participation in the global economy. Prior to that, he served as Undersecretary for North America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, from 2015 to 2016, headed the Country Brand and International Media Office within the Office of the President. In the private sector, he served as Executive Director of Communications and Institutional Relations at Grupo Financiero Banamex and as Citigroup’s spokesperson for Mexico and Central America. He also chaired the Marketing, Communications, and Social Responsibility Committee of the Mexican Banking Association. From 2001 to 2007, he led his own lobbying and strategic communications firm, and previously served as Director of Media and Crisis Management at Burson-Marsteller Mexico. He holds a Law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Master’s degree in Public International Law from Leiden University in the Netherlands.
Samantha Bailón is a design professional with over ten years of experience in animation and visual communication. A graduate of Universidad Latinoamericana (ULA), she has collaborated with prominent national and international brands such as Amazon, ARTZ Pedregal, Antara, and Merca2.0, contributing to the creation of high-impact graphic materials and brand-aligned visual strategies.
She currently serves as an integrated designer, responsible for planning and executing content grids and visual assets for various companies, with a focus on aesthetic coherence, innovation, and effective communication. Outside of her professional activities, she enjoys practicing yoga, reading, watching series, and spending time with her dogs.
Andrea is an internationalist graduated from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, with more than three years of experience in public affairs consulting, as well as in the Federal Government. She has specialised in monitoring legislative and regulatory processes, analysing public policies and creating strategies to connect with key actors.
Throughout her career, she has worked on important issues on the public agenda, applying her experience in consulting for companies in the technology, energy and extractive sectors. Outside of work, she enjoys playing the piano, reading and attending cultural events.
Abril Velazco is a strategic communications consultant specializing in brand identity, reputation, and positioning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, a Master’s in Brand Communications, and a diploma in Political Communication from Universidad Panamericana. Her work spans corporate and institutional communications, branding, storytelling, and narrative development for organizations across the public and private sectors, with a focus on building positioning, reputation, and content strategies that strengthen visibility and differentiation.
Her professional background includes roles as Creative Director and Community Manager at Jono Films, Social Media Manager at La Voz de Polanco and La Voz de la Ciudad A.C., and Electoral Advisor at the Electoral Institute of Mexico City, alongside consulting work for the Mexico City School of Public Administration and Equilibrio Total Clinic. She is co-author of Parents as Accomplices to Technology: Are Children Really the Problem? (McGraw-Hill Education) and has written extensively on communication, media literacy, and civic engagement. Fluent in English and conversant in French, she is passionate about reading, art, philosophy, social causes, and sports—particularly tennis and baseball.
He has expanded his professional training with certifications in Quality and Process Improvement from the IPN, as well as in Big Data and Data Analysis from Universidad Iberoamericana. He currently works as a Jr. Data Analyst, focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence to improve and optimize processes within Miranda Media. Outside of work, he enjoys working out, reading, and has a passion for aviation.
