Damian Fraser
CEO and Founder
Damian Fraser founded Miranda Partners in 2018 after serving as the Managing Director of UBS in Mexico from 2011 to 2018. Before that, he was the Head of Equities and Research for Latin America at UBS since 1998. At the beginning of his career, Damian was a journalist at The Economist (economic correspondent) and the Financial Times (head of the Mexico bureau). He holds a CFA and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Philosophy from Oxford University. He has written several articles and essays on FinTechs, SOFIPOs, regulated banks, and their opportunities and challenges in Mexico.
Gabriela Jiménez
Media Executive Director
Gabriela is a communications specialist and journalist with a focus on corporate consulting in the economic and financial sectors. She served as a correspondent in Mexico for the Spanish newspaper El Economista and as the editorial director of its Mexican portal, EconomíaHoy.mx, as well as a business reporter for La Jornada newspaper. She holds a degree in Communication from Universidad Iberoamericana, a master’s in Journalism and Public Policy from CIDE, and another master’s in Gender Studies from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. In the field of corporate communication, public relations, and crisis management, she has developed and executed strategies for the financial, energy, academic, and consumer sectors.
Salomón Amkie

Graduated from Universidad Anáhuac with a degree in Communication and a specialty in Radio Management and Audio Design, he has over 7 years of experience collaborating with prominent brands. He is an expert in creating emotionally driven creative content that effectively meets clients’ objectives. He also has knowledge in internal communication, organizational culture, and digital marketing for social media. Outside of work, he enjoys writing short suspense stories, playing the saxophone, watching movies in the cinema, and playing video games on PlayStation.
Laura Camacho
Sr. Analyst
Laura holds a law degree from ITAM and a master’s in Institutional Communication from UP. She is a professional in political communication and public affairs. With experience in media like Reforma and the three branches of the Mexican government, she has worked in the Ministry of Public Education, the Supreme Court, and the Senate. Additionally, she has been a consultant for political campaigns and has worked in the private sectors such as insurance, finance, consumer goods, and technology. She specializes in corporate communication strategies, public affairs, and political-legislative analysis. In her spare time, she participates in book clubs and enjoys cinema and theater.
Sofia Fraser
Sr. Analyst
Sofia specializes in communication strategies for companies, from educational institutions to FinTechs and startups. She holds a degree in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Her experience in the art and events world, as well as the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce, has made her adept in brand narrative and international communication. As a British and Mexican citizen, she offers a unique perspective. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring cuisines and sharing her culinary passion with friends and family.
Tania Rojas

Tania holds a degree in International Relations and is an expert in internal and external communication, social media, crisis management, and public relations. With experience in various industries, she has specialized in startups, investment funds, and venture capital in the tech sector. She has collaborated with national and international companies, including BP, Stripe, and Arizona State University. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and surfing, as well as cultural events in the city.
Karla Ruíz
Sr. Analyst
Karla is a journalist, editor, and content creator specializing in economics, finance, and public policy. She holds a degree from the Carlos Septién School of Journalism and a master’s in Journalism on Public Policies from CIDE. She has experience primarily in communication for civil society organizations such as México, ¿cómo vamos?, the Mexican Institute for Competitiveness, and the Mexican Business Council. She has collaborated with media outlets like MVS, Newsweek en Español, Financial Times, Animal Político, Expansión, among others. In her free time, she dedicates herself to classical and Cuban rhythm dance.
Saúl Sánchez

Saúl holds a degree in Art History and a diploma in Investigative Journalism. He has distinguished himself as a Financial Communication Consultant at Llorente y Cuenca, attending to clients such as the Mexican Stock Exchange and UBS. With previous experience as a writer at El Financiero Bloomberg TV and roles in organizations like the United Nations and the Mexican Ministry of Culture, Saúl is passionate about communicating complex narratives. Outside of work, he enjoys film festivals, practices crossfit, and dedicates himself to cooking.
Sheila Sánchez

Graduated with a degree in Journalism and Media Information from Tec de Monterrey, Sheila has nearly 10 years of experience as a business journalist for prominent media outlets such as CNN Mexico, Expansión, and Forbes, primarily covering the agri-food and consumer sectors in Mexico. She has almost four years of experience as a corporate communications strategist and consultant for multinational companies in the academic, consumer, and logistics sectors. Her passion is telling stories through engaging narratives. Outside the office, Sheila enjoys traveling, attending music festivals and concerts, watching movies, reading, and cooking.
Anya Villanueva

Anya has experience in developing and executing B2B and B2C communication strategies, creating narratives, brand positioning, and public relations campaigns. She has specialized in consumer electronics, digital services, and entertainment platforms, attending to clients like Google and Huawei. She holds a degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of New Mexico and a master’s in International Relations from the University of Melbourne. Previously, she was a writer at Publimetro and a communication consultant for the Democratic campaign to the New Mexico State Legislature. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, trying all kinds of food, and skydiving.

With a degree in Communication from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana and over 10 years of experience in social media strategy, content generation with an SEO focus, communication, and public relations, she has held roles as a copywriter and content manager for companies in the financial, real estate, and consumer sectors. She was also an editorial coordinator at Inmobiliare Magazine. Outside of her professional life, she is passionate about traveling, attending concerts, watching movies, and practicing meditation.
