Damian Fraser

CEO and founder of Miranda Partners

Damian Fraser founded Miranda Partners in 2018, after serving as CEO of UBS in Mexico from 2011 to 2018. Before that, he was Head of Equities and Research for Latin America at UBS since 1998. At the beginning of his career, Damian worked as a journalist at The Economist (economic correspondent) and at the Financial Times (Mexico bureau chief). He holds a CFA and a Master’s in Public Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Philosophy from Oxford University. He has written several articles and essays on FinTechs, SOFIPOs, regulated banks, and their opportunities and challenges in Mexico.

Executive Director of Media and PR

Gabriela is a communications specialist and journalist who has focused on corporate consultancy with a focus on the economic and financial sectors. She served as a correspondent in Mexico for the Spanish newspaper El Economista and editorial director of its portal in Mexico, EconomíaHoy.mx, as well as a business reporter for the newspaper La Jornada. She holds a degree in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana, a master’s degree in Journalism and Public Policies from CIDE, and another master’s degree in Gender Studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid. In the field of corporate communication, public relations, and crisis management, she has developed and executed strategies for the financial, energy, academic, and consumer sectors.

Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking and surfing, as well as cultural events in the city.

Additionally, she has been a consultant for political campaigns and has worked in private sectors such as insurance, finance, consumer goods, and technology. She specializes in corporate communication strategies, public affairs, and political-legislative analysis. In her free time, she participates in book clubs and enjoys cinema and theater.
