Damian Fraser
Partner
Damian founded Miranda Partners in 2018; he was Mexico Country Manager of UBS from 2001 to 2018, where he oversaw the 180-person local Investment Banking, Wealth Management and Equity businesses. Previously he ran UBS’s Latin American Equity division, worked as Head of UBS LatAm Equity Research, and was “Number One” ranked LatAm “Institutional Investor” equity analyst for Strategy for multiple years. Prior to banking, Damian was a journalist at The Economist (economics correspondent), and at the Financial Times (Mexico bureau chief). He holds a CFA, an MPA from Harvard University, and BA from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics (PPE).

Paulo Carreño

Paulo is Director of Corporate Governance at Grupo Industrial Durandco, a leading company in the energy, logistics and infrastructure sectors in Mexico. Until December 2018, he served as CEO of ProMéxico. Previously, Mr. Carreño served as Undersecretary for North America at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the financial sector, his responsibilities as Director of Communications and Government Relations of Grupo Financiero Banamex and Spokesperson in Mexico for Citigroup stand out. Additionally, he was Chairman of the Communications, Marketing and Social Responsibility Committee of the Mexican Banking Association (ABM). He was Managing Director of his own strategic communications firm and previously, Associate Director of Media and Crisis Management at Burson-Marsteller Mexico.
Paulo holds a law degree from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and a master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands. He is a member of the Institute of Public International Law and has collaborated for publications such as El Economista, Esquire, and Life & Style.

Gabriela Jiménez

Gabriela is a journalist and communications specialist, with a focus on the economic and financial sectors, from the Universidad Iberoamericana. She has worked with outlets such as La Jornada and elEconomista.es, and was the director of EconomíaHoy.mx for three years. She has a Master’s Degree in Journalism and Public Policy from CIDE. Gabriela’s main areas of interest are financial inclusion and the gender wage gap.

Tania Rojas

Tania studied International Relations at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. She also was a partner in the civil association Mujeres a Proa! which is dedicated to generating entrepreneurship and job training projects for women from several communities in Mexico City. She served as General Secretary of the student organization Debate ITAM and was a member of the representative team in national and international tournaments.

Tania studied International Relations at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. She most recently held a position at the United States-Mexico Chamber of Commerce in New York City. She is a British and Mexican citizen.
