Mexican journalist, host and writer Le\u00f3n Krauze,\u00a0 has had extensive experience in media and academia in Mexico and the United States. He has contributed to a long list of print, radio and television media outlets. His work has appeared in The<\/em> New Yorker<\/em>, Los Angeles Times<\/em>, Foreign Policy<\/em>, Slate<\/em>, El Pa\u00eds<\/em>, and several others. He currently hosts the Univision<\/em> newscasts in Los Angeles. He is a columnist for El Universal<\/em> and The Washington Post<\/em>.<\/p>

Krauze has won nine Emmy Awards for his journalistic coverage, including two in 2013 for his reporting on deported mothers and the cost of border security in the United States.<\/p>

In 2018, he was the moderator for the second debate between the Mexican presidency candidates.<\/p>

Since 1998 he has dedicated himself to the analysis of international politics, more specifically US politics. He has covered the presidential elections for Spanish-speaking media outlets since 1996. Currently, he has focused on analyzing the Mexican government\u2019s political situation.<\/p>

Between 2016 and 2018, Krauze held the Wallis Annenberg Journalism<\/em> chair at the University of Southern California, where he taught journalism classes focused on the Hispanic community in the United States.<\/p>

Le\u00f3n Krauze has a masters degree in humanity and social thought from New York University and a degree in Communication from Tecnol\u00f3gico de Monterrey.<\/p>
