With a masters in Business from the Kellogg School of Management from Northwestern University and a degree in Economics from the Universidad Iberoamericana, Alejandro Diez Barroso is a founding partner and director of DILA Capital, a venture capital fund that supports entrepreneurs from all over Latin America, and whose portfolio includes companies such as Urbvan, Kushki, and Ben & Frank.
In mid-2021, DILA Capital announced a round of 60 million dollars for its new investment fund, with which it seeks to invest between 750,000 and 3 million dollars in 20 technology companies.
Diez Barroso’s professional career began when he participated in the founding of Wau Spot, a company dedicated to advertising products in shopping centers; When the company was sold in 2004, Alejandro raised an investment fund through which he invested in three companies, among which were Vilebrequin México, of which he was CEO between 2006 and 2009.
Since then, the entrepreneur has dedicated himself to private equity investments, with a special interest in entrepreneurial capital.
Alejandro Diez Barroso also serves as a Board member in several of DILA Capital’s companies.
